Viridian Gray

Race: Human

Age: 23

Personality: Begrudgingly dutiful. Unrestrained and boisterous. Gluttonous, insatiable, and explosive.

Rank: Paige

Briefing: Viridian Gray plays bodyguard to the young aristocrat Serec Maliseur. Of no last name of any import, she comes from a squalid class where survival is earned by being useful to the aristocracy. Those, like Viridian, with grit and aptitude in equal parts can fulfill the equitable role of sworn protector to a highborne. To be assigned to a would be student means that she'll also be the first of her lineage to have formal education, magical or otherwise.

Necromancy

Soulfire Aspect - Everburn: Viridian's soulfire attacks linger where they resolve - in air or ground - until dismissed by Viridian as long as she remains within 20 feet. The passive mana drain increases as the volume of active flame increases, becoming more manageable as her Necromancy rank increases. Passive flame consumes material of tin rank, scaling to iron at mage. It sticks to and slowly burns away materials it can't immediately destroy.
X NOT APPROVED X Soulfire Aspect- Everburn II:Lingering soulfire can immediately burn through Iron, scaling to cobalt at expert mage. Soulfire now lingers as long as it is within 30 feet of Viridian, which scales to 50 at Expert Mage. Quantity of active lingering Soulfire increases mana drain much less than the earlier rendition.
X NOT APPROVED X Soulfire Aspect - Everburn II (Absolute Immolation): After a target remains within the range of Everburn for a rotation, Viridian may mark them for Immolation. Two (scaling to four at expert mage) instances of passive Soulfire take the shortest path to collapse in on the marked target. This Soulfire can be extinguished by hostile energy based spells of equal rank or higher, but will try to burn through physical objects of a lower rank (losing a rank of "damage" in the process) before continuing towards their target. They can also burn through a physical object of equal rank, but only survive for one rotation after doing so. This fire extinguishes immediately upon leaving the range of Everburn, or after five rotations if not extinguished earlier. Immolation can only have one target at a time.

Soulfood: Viridian can siphon from wandering and recently dead souls in exchange for something. Unnamed wandering souls are abundant in places of mass death or tragedy, recent or historic. For now, the only benefit is that she gains details about the souls life leading up to its demise. By Mage this benefit allows her to know any key details of its life.
X NOT APPROVED X: Soulfood II: Viridian no longer stops at siphoning from a soul, but absorbs and imprisons it through devouring. Souls are stored inside of Viridian in a place that looks from the inside like a small, ashen wasteland enclosed in a big rib cage prison. These souls can be used as power sources that can be siphoned for temporary boons. One stat is increased by 3x for each soul imprisoned, choosing from strength, speed, reaction speed, sight, hearing, or casting speed at the time of devouring. This boon lasts for 5 rotations and has a cooldown of 3 rotations. Viridian can only imprison souls of mages of the rank of this spell or below. Random wandering/lost souls are no longer significant enough for this spell. The souls are never destroyed or permanently damaged, and all are released in the event Viridian is killed.

Soulfire Grenade: Viridian conjures a single (three at mage) softball sized mote of soulfire that orbits her. Soulfire Grenades can be launched as a projectile at any time, with a range of 15 feet, scaling to 30 at mage. They detonate on contact or at the end of their range, in a spherical 5 foot Soulfire explosion.
X NOT APPROVED X: Soulfire Grenade II (Clusterbomb): The range of Soulfire Grenade scales from 30 to 50. The damage continues to scale from iron to cobalt. The aoe of the detonation grows to 10 feet, which scales to 20 at Expert. Soulfire Grenades may now be detonated manually before they reach the end of the range or collide with something. Soulfire Grenades launch smaller motes of Soulfire in each cardinal direction, which detonate as well after a delay (one rotation). These smaller motes of Soulfire have a third of the range, with the size of this explosion locked such that the furthest point of the smaller detonation just meets, but does not overlap with, the furthest points of the original detonation.

X NOT APPROVED X X NOT APPROVED X Immortal Reconstitution:** Wounds other than fatal can temporarily be patched with conjured dead flesh, stopping bleeding and allowing otherwise incapacitated limbs to continue doing their job. Effectively, it allows her to continue fighting, replacing lost flesh with rotted undeath. Artificial limbs cannot be created, but severed limbs may be re-attached given a small amount of time (rotation), and that there was a clean break. The mana cost varies based on the size of the wound, and becomes entirely unfunctional dead meat when no longer being fueled with mana. Organs require a continuous upkeep of mana, while rent flesh is an upfront cost. Not a substitution for healing even when used to patch wounds in superficial places, because dead flesh does not play well with living flesh, and is prone to rapid and fatal infection, which can be slowed somewhat by standard cleaning and care. When a faith mage eventually does heal this dead flesh back to normal, faith sickness lasts twice as long.
